Nate Friedman

Nate Friedman is a drummer and percussionist from Washington, DC. He attended the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he was fortunate to study with Billy Hart, Jamey Haddad, and Paul Samuels. He lives and works in Chicago, Illinois, where he collaborates with a wide variety of artists.

Nate is a member of the Chicago electric chamber duo SUN SPEAK, who have been awarded residencies from the Avaloch Farm Music Institute and have toured nationally. He has played in venues across the United States and Europe. He has toured, recorded, or performed with artists including Patricia Barber, Rob Clearfield, John Elmquist's Hard Art Groop, Jamey Haddad, Sean Jones, and Petros Klampanis.
